Has anyone had a Bone Spur removed from your Gums before??
I have a bone spur that they are going to remove Tuesday, and Im really scared to have the oral surgery. Has anyone had this and can you please tell me what to expect... Pain Wise, and recooperation wise?

I had a bone shard removed...I think they are the same thing. It hurt more having it in my gums then having it removed. I actually removed it myself after a friend of mine told me to gently keep rubbing the area...I did it and finally one morning I didn't even notice it anymore. but if you have hyad major work done in your mouth...call the edntist and have him remove it...afterall he/she is the reason it is still there.

i had all my teeth (uppers) removed 8 months ago. a month ago, i had a piece og bone coming thru my gum. went to dr, got it removed. little or no pain. more like a little uncomfortable than anything. i have to go back on monday to get more moved. dont worry. everything is fine. you wont notice it after an hour or so.
