What should I do about a bone spur on my left big toe?

I broke my left big toe five years ago and it looks like a bone spur just starting growing off the left side. It is relatively small, yet it is starting to impact my athletic activities. The entire toe feels numb after a weekend of being cold and probably putting constant pressure on it (skiing). I am not even sure it is a bone spur, but that was my diagnosis. Ever since the break, i can't bend my tow forward at all, but that has not caused any problems.
My nephew had a spur. I suggest you ge it checked out by your doctor and you might need to see an orthapaedic specialist.
