If you have not been to a podiatrist, you should go. They are great and can offer many treatments. Plantar fasciitis (heel spurs) always returns. One effective thing you can do is stretch the sole of your foot before rising from a bed or chair. Stretch your legs out in front of you and keep them there. Bring your toes toward your head as hard as you can and hold several seconds. Repeat several times. Also, wearing shoes with high, rounded arches helps a GREAT DEAL. Cherokee Rockers are the best. you can do a web search..many places sell many styles of them. Also some local stores may have them, especially Famous Footwear. I am a nurse and wore them for years with great results. Also, do not go barefooted in the house...wear shoes with good support.
My mom went to a chiropractor for her heel spurs, and he did ultrasound therapy, and in a few months...gone, and never came back.
A steroid injection into the heel will help-it is however quite painful but done right it provides lasting relief. If you do not fancy injections, see a physiatrist who can prescribe some physiotherapy for you.
The alternative when patients have so much pain that they can hardly walk is best to do surgery...but again is a last resort. Massaging the bottom of your foot helps...like doing friction with your thumb in the area that is affected...or you can use a tennis ball and put it under the foot and go back and forth putting some sort of pressure..or you can make an ice ball...like putting some water in a cup and then putting that ice under the foot and massaging it.
hope it works and feel better
good luck ^i^♥♥
