Bone Spur! Has anyone had one on bottom of heel?
My husband has one and he has had shots for them. Now the dr. has had forms made of his feet and made inserts for his shoes from them. He felt much better after this BUT now the pain has returned. Has anyone had the inserts and did they work or did they take a while for them to work?
Answers:
Proper inserts should help prevent bone spurs but for spurs that are present re-injection will probably be required. Old time remedy is to rub your heel over and over a golf ball until the end of the spur breaks off, beware this is not easy to do, good pain threshold required to do this, but it works
My mother in law had a bone spur in her foot, and they had to do surgery on hers, they never gave her any sort of inserts. If the pain persists, have him ask about the benefits of having it removed, instead of living with the constant pain I know that they can hurt alot, and it put my mother in law out of work she was in such pain.
