Do bone spurs and heel spurs totally go away? Not just the pain, but the spur itself.?

Answers:
I think they need to be ground down, but I guess it may be possible.

I remember when I had a tooth pulled the dentist said it would take time for my jaw bone to re-adjust, so I guess they may go away.
Not usually if caused by use. If they are caused by a fracture then usually depending on the reduction.
they only go away with surgery. i am a surgical tech in the OR. i work with the surgeon. these spurs have to be taken out. they do not go away. the pain subsides after recovery.
It is called spurs, but is actually plantar fascitis. It is an inflammation of the tendon along the bottom of the foot. When the inflammation goes down the pain improves. Heel spur is just a wrong term for it.
Using new technology they can be removed using ultrasound blasts similar to breaking up gallstones.
The spur formation will be there for always. However, if you are without any symptoms, you should be OK.
