Bone spur, calcium deposit, or what on collarbone?

My friend has a place on her collarbone that is really painful. She say It feels like there is something sharp on the bone that is to say jabbing up into her skin. I have been researching calcium deposits and bone spurs online but the descriptions don't really give the impression of being to be just right. Both of these conditions emphasize the rotator cuff, but her source of pain is not as far out on her shoulder as that; it's on her collarbone fundamental underneath her ear. Can anyone point me in the right direction of what this might be?

Answers:    It may be something as simple as a bruised bone that can take a few months to heal...or a bruised ligament or ligament.

Aren't bone spurs usually in the heel?

I think if it lasts long she might requirement an x-ray or at least see a MD.

Sorry I couldn't be more definite.
