Bone spurs at 30?
I've been dealing w/very uncomfortable foot pain for nearly 2 months now. it's worst my left heel, but both heels hurt. it's a very sharp dull pain. and it never goes away. it's always worse in the morning first entity out of bed, i can barely walk.
i dont really understand what this could be.
my doc is of NO facilitate. (military doctor) his idea is to just give me 800 mg motrin and under the weather be fine. *motrin is the cure-all to military docs*
bone spurs come to my mind. (my grandmother had them)...but im only 30 yrs old. is that possible for someone my age?!
Answers: Bone spurs are not age-specific. Just because your lone prior knowledge of them is through your grandmother doesn't mean it's an exclusively geriatric condition.
EDIT:

The heel spur itself is not thought to be the primary basis of pain, rather inflammation and irritation of the plantar fascia is thought to be the primary problem. A heel spur diagnosis is made when an X-ray shows a hook of bone protruding from the bottom of the foot at the point where the plantar fascia is attached to the heel bone.
Why did I seize a heel spur?
The plantar fascia is a thick, ligamentous connective tissue that runs from the calcaneus (heel bone) to the ball of the foot. This strong and tight tissue helps verbs the arch of the foot. It is also one of the major transmitters of weight across the foot as you walk or run. That's why tremendous stress is placed on the plantar fascia.
When a forgiving has plantar fasciitis, the plantar fascia becomes inflamed and degenerative (worn out)--these abnormalities can build normal activities quite aching. Symptoms typically worsen early in the morning after sleep. At that time, the plantar fascia is tight so even simple movements stretch the contracted plantar fascia. As you begin to loosen the plantar fascia, the headache usually subsides, but often returns with prolonged standing or walking.
I've got them on my foot too.
If you have bones, you can get bone spurs. My sister and I were playing around when we be about 10 - 12 and I knocked one off her arm. It can surface at any age. A simple xray will tell you if they're there.
