I hold a Bone Spur contained by my Heel. What can I do to luxury the torment?
I have been seeing a podiatrist for 4 months getting injections in my heel for a bone spur. It does help out with the pain but in few days next the pain is back and I can't hardly stroll. I don't want to have surgery. Is there anything I can do to make the spur stir away? It so painful! I have been on anti-inflamatory tablets which has reduced the swelling and fuild build up however the pain is still there and it is deeply differcult to walk at times. Please help!! Thank You!!
Answers: Ask your Podiatrist. I have one and the same problem. I've been told to get shoe inserts, such as Dr. Scholl's- Again, ask the Podiatrist. He/she knows ur travel case. It is VERY painful, and I really don't think a bone spur goes away. It is most bumpy when first getting up, as ur circulation has to get moving again. Do you do epsom salt soaks? Has it be suggested that you ice the area, elevate it, and REST the foot as much as possible. I realize how painful this is, as does ur Podiatrist. Write a record of questions down to ask ur Doctor about ur questions and concerns. Good luck and Take aid!
Spurs do not go away without surgery and it is worth the surgery to rid the pain.
I have one in the right shoulder that went undiscovered for over 8 years. By the time they did find it, I had to hold part of the forward shoulder bone removed with the spur and cyst had also developed. That be 8 years of pain that continued to consume my every movement and effected my everyday life and work.
Have it removed, you'll be happier within the long run.
I am sorry to say but the only way to improve this (I had the same thing) is surgery and the sooner the better because the longer you put it off the larger the spur get and the more damage is done to the nerves in your heel.. Good luck God bless Grant M in Pennsylvania There are shoe inserts you can get hold of, I'm surprised the doctor didn't tell you about them.
