I own a bone-spur on my spine and the chiropractor think it called for I come VERY recurrently. Is this vital?

It has not hurt now for over two weeks. I am wondering if he is just trying to squeeze money out of me or if it is really going to assistance in the long run. They are a business - and I don't want to be over treated so they can make money. They have be scheduling me between 3 and 5 times a week for a few weeks now.

Could be last resort when no one else can assist..

Not FDA approved
Does not own a medical degree.
Can not prescribe prescriptions.
Nothing they do is going to be a permanent fix.
They are pretty much shut out by the medical world and have not contributed anything surrounded by the medical field
Can end up costing you a lot more next a real doctor over the long run.
A lot of them promise they can change the natural shape or curvature of a spine, when its simply not true. Only an orthopedist can evaluate the situation and determine if a scoliosis is if truth be told present, and if a brace would be of help. To change a spine takes surgery and braces.
Chiropractors work on your spinal column to eliminate your "subluxations", which they can't prove exist, and in some studies where they show a vertebrae x-ray to multiple chiropractors, they all diagnose subluxations, but of course no two ever seem to diagnose them within the same place on the x-ray. Fixing subluxations is supposed to "help the body keep itself healthy". It's also preventative, once a month, to rub a rabbits foot for upright luck.

My Conclusion
Always check with your primary care physician before getting any medical sustain. Try stretching first. There are several back exercise you can easily find on the net, which enjoy really helped me. A Physical therapist or an orthopedist are both better alternatives. Be very wary when going to the chiropractor and never let them take X-Ray's and never get preventative prudence. They are only good for relief of ache and pains for a short period of time and it's not guaranteed if it will work at all. If you must go you should not stipulation to see him regularly, only when you have pain. Always be firm and never consent to them push you around and take more money from you for things that do not hurt. If you let them walk over you, it could close up costing you a pretty penny.

There are many reasons losing this scheduling but realize the bone spur will not go away. The reason it formed in the first place be to act as a way to stabilize the spine in that nouns. If after the twelve visits a month, he tries to set you up for three more visit a week...i would say do not listen to him. Doctors are working to help you, but you never know, there are oodles out there who simply wish to take money out the pockets of the unyielding working individual barely able to pay their middle-of-the-road bills, let alone medical bills. I think you have adequate knowledge about your condition to know when your pain is getting worse and wishes medical attention. I think 2 times a week would be more appropriate; 5 is a bit much. You should only go five times if you hold extreme pain. 2-3 times sounds reasonable, but remember, your health is more major than money, and if the doctor presents credible reasons, then I believe you ought to comply.
