Just a suggestion as I enjoy a client with this issue now. I have recommended he soak within epsom salts 3x week followed by using Iodex cream (75parts oil of wintergreen,25 parts iodine in a inexpensive tub (the 4.00 tub) of cold cream surrounded by the area. You can also purchase at east indianstores, it is very inexpensive. Along with this Bowen Therapy treatments. We are making great progress. i would try an acupuncurist, i know plentiful who have usde that approach with the same entry, check out the link i provide

Are you absolutely sure that it is a "bone spur"?
There is something real similar that produces one and the same symptoms... it's called: "Diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis (DISH)". (also known as Forestier's disease.)
Physical Therapy and exercise can help this condition. (but not much, I'm afraid...)
I've have two lower lumbar laminectomy operations, so I sympathize with you.
Good luck!
I guess that conventional medicine should be implied that you've already tried them? If you are asking something like about others (alternative healing methods) If you are in California try medicinal marijuana for throbbing and healing thru drum rhythms. Plenty of literature online on both alternative healing techniqes.

Go for spine therapy, what is more unprocessed than curing using just your hand.
That is what motivate me to move on.
