My friend needs to have bone spurs removed, but he is afraid if he does it before he test to be a firefighter, then he will be disqualified when they look into his medical records. Is this true? Thanks for your help.
Medical assessment for firefighters and police officers are very, very strict. They hold absolutely plenty of applicants. So they will choose the "cream of the crop". They will disqualify a person for practically anything. So tell your friend that if he can put sour the surgery and still function, then that's the way to go. And surrounded by that instance, he can have the surgery AFTER he's on the job. (take sick leave, etc., etc.).
