How to treat a heel spur?

Can anyone advise the best way to treat a heel spur. What product is best and do you know of any stores to buy products? I live in the Arlington Heights, Elk Grove area-chicago. Thanks.

I placed 2 links below for you to look at. This is a very common problem and it is a painful problem. Click on the links below, they will show you a diagram of your foot and what's going on. It will also show you some temporary solutions. You should consider consulting a Podiatrist, they will diagnose your problem and ensure that you will have the best recovery available. Please don't think that you can resolve this issue by yourself. Temporary relief is just that...temporary. Take care, be well...consult a professional. Click on the links below. Sorry you're in pain.

go to your doctor...heel spurs are very painful
I have heel spurs and you can try using those doctor scholls incerts that go in just the heel of your shoes and buy and wear only shoes with at least a half to one inch heel to take some of the pressure off your heels, and try not walking around bare foot it causes pressure and increases the pain. You can buy adaptive equipment for your shoes at medical supply stores, google it on your computer for your area to find a store near you, or go see a podiatrist.
