I have heel spurs, what can I do to relieve the pain?

At my second job I am standing on my feet for around 8 hours a day, 2 days per week, I need the second job, the hours are good, and the pay is also, but after I come home the pain is horrible.

I had them before, I was working on a concrete floor and everyone told me I would have to have surgery. well I said no way, went and bought some nike shox ($100) approx. and spurs were gone in 3 to 6 wks completely and have bought them ever since ,and have had no problem. kinda high for tennis shoes but worth it in the long run ,and they last. saved a doctor fee and operation cost and lost time at work. I'd say I came out on top.
That is horrible. I remember having that, and unfortunately the best thing you can do is stay off your feet. As soon as you get home, lay on your bed or floor with your legs up against the wall for about 20 min. Then, fill your bath or a large enough container with hot epson salt water. Hopefully that will offer some relief. If it won't go away, try a foot doctor. Also, losing weight will significantly decrease foot problems- if that's an issue for you.
ok grab a round can like a soda pop can and when you can massage the plant of your feet before and in breaks ad after work , walk everyday on your toeballs(...) well you know what I mean...as much as you can..that way you stop the damage and even reverse it...make your arch stronger and your position better , also try to do 100 daily crunches...so your abs be strong enough to handle the stress of a constant standing position...you'll start noticing you feel much better by week one
and by week 3 the pain is almost gone , walk at least 30 - 60 minutes a day on your toes . have a nice day
there are heel cushion that can lessen the pain while your working. At home take a 20 oz soda bottle or bottle water. Freeze with water in it. take out on the floor and roll the arch of your foot and heel over it. After the area is numb do this exercise for stretching. put a hand towel on the floor and put your foot on it. By quinching your toes and then twisting your foot pick up the handtowel in your toes and keep scootching it to one side then go back to the other side. This will stretch the tendons. Also look at the shoes your wearing. Sensible shoes with good support. Clarks makes some good clogs with orthotic supports built in
