Heel Spurs?
Does anyone know how to get rid of heel spurs without having surgery? It seems like it starts to go away and there it is again. Hurts so much especially when I keep knocking against the foot of my chair.
Answers:
Find yourself a quality chiropractor--someone that your friends or family know and trust and also someone who specializes in extremities (feet ankles knees elbows wrists etc). You won't be able to get rid of the spurs, but you may relieve some of the pain. In the meantime, something that may give you temporary relief is call cross-friction massage. Massage the bottom of your foot from side to side--not heel to toe. Start at the base of your toes and work your way up to where you start to feel your heel bone. It may be that the fascia at the bottom of your foot is very tense. You probably want to get "in there" with the massage to the point where it feels like you're going to cry. I hope this helps. There is no way to get rid of them except to have surgery. They are little pieces of bone that are sticking out into your foot. Do you know for sure that it is a bone spur? My husband has bursitis in his foot and he thought it was a bone spur. It is painful.
