I have a painful area in the arch area of my foot, is it maybe, heel spurs?

it is difficult to walk on it after rest, and it is always worse at night. and the pain is very intense.
I don't know, I always thought that heel spurs were just in the heel. My sister had them, actually, and she got cortisone shots right into her heel. The arch? I don't know on that one. If you're in so much pain, don't wait, make a Dr.'s appt. ASAP!
Heel spurs don't happen in the arch. If it's happening after you rest you might just need to do some runner's stretches to keep the area from tightening up after rest. Sometimes leg/foot cramping can be caused by a potassium deficiency or dehydration. Drink some Gatorade - it might help and it certainly couldn't hurt.
arches need support, if you are wearing shoes with out support your arches will hurt. Sandals are the worse go to a podiatrist and have it check, you may need to wear a good pair of shoes or tennis shoes to prevent it
