What can you do for heel and knee spurs with osteoarthrites have had it for about 8 years?

Answers:
Purchase comfortable fitting shoes, but having them for 8 years might very well require surgery. Think about seeing a podiatrist, this type of Physician specializes in what your describing.
I work for a foot doctor. I don't know about the knee, but my mom has spurs on each side of her knees also. She went to the doctor and said it was a matter of time until she would need a knee replacement. Just depended on how long she could tolorate the pain. As for heel spurs, do not have surgery. It is the worst thing you could do. We suggest never go barefoot, try a wrap to stabilize the foot, or heel cups or inserts. Severe cases we give injections in the heel. You can never get rid of a heel spur, you can only treat it. It's a bone that actually looks like a small hook.
I had two knee replacements don't know about feet I am getting where I can barley walk because of my feet if you find out tell me.
