How do you relieve the pain from heel spurs?

Answers:
Hello,

I had pain in my heels and my doctor told me to get inserts to fit into my shoes. It was quite a while ago but I believe I bought Dr. Scholl's inserts. They are just inserts for the heels. They are rubber like and cushion the heel when walking. The pads cushion the impact from walking.

It is always a good idea to speak to your doctor and get his recommendation.

I also took some Motrin to ease the pain until the heel pads eased the impact and eventually heeled the pain. But here again best to speak to your doctor and let him recommend a safe pain pill for you. After all he knows your health history.

I hope this helped.
You probably don't have "heel spurs" that is a common misconception. Spurs are growths of bone that have to be surgically removed. You have a strained muscle or a bruise. If you get a good, solid heel cup you will probably feel relief. Stop any "pounding" activity for awhile and it will "heal" up. You may need to lose some weight?
