Help! Suspect 'spur' pain in my right heel.Very bad when1st standing then I walk & its ok. Doc injection US
Answers:
Had a spur and doc injected it which didn't help much. I went to podiatry department and they fitted me with special insoles which did the trick! No more pain no more injections. Still pain free after 4 years.
i think its a cracked, dry heel that needs TLC (tender loving care). u need to apply vaseline everytime u can to get them right again. i have pain in heel when they are excessively dry and cracked and so it dissapperas with vaseline but u got to do it regularly and make sure u apply loads and rub in lots.coconut oil does it too.
Difficult to know exactly what you mean.
If you are suffering with pain in the heel especially with walking this is probably plantar fasciitis which is a tightening of the tissues in the sole of the foot and/or achilles tendon. The mainstay of treatment is NOT normally an injection, but calf stretches and shoe inserts to improve the mechanics of walking.
Could be a bony spur in your heal, try anti inflammatories such as Ibuprofen. Also consider conditions such as plantar fascitis which is inflamation on the membrane that covers the tendons on the sole of the foot, anti-inflammatories would also help this. If your pain is persistant see your dr for cfurther advice.
