Can i achieve any form of compensation if I bring time sour work for a heel spur operation?

Do you carry disability insurance coverage? Some insurances does cover you ,but most do not. You can pick up extra coverage for this reason. As far as work covering you I dealt it unless it happen at work. If you have sick days or vacation time would be your best bet.

If it wasn't work related, you should be able to bear time off either with sick or break time. As a last resort, you should be able to take time bad without pay under FMLA (Family medical walk out act). You don't get compensation for being sick or having surgery unless it is proved by a DR. that it is related to your employment. If your job has vacation days or sick days you can use that as your time loss.
Unless this is a work related problem, the single compensation you are going to get is using your vacation/sick time.
