Home remedy for plantar fasciitis and heel spur?

Have you had surgery for a heel spur?
My heel pain has be life changing; in a fruitless way.
An X-ray revealed a heel spur caused by (or caused?) plantar fasciitis.
The podiatrist give me shoe inserts to take the pressure off of the heel with giant arch support. He also gave me a prescription for NSAIDS.
I want a cure!
Do you have a home treatment that rid you of your heel spur permanently? What be it like? What were the results?

Answers:    If you have a bone spur you most possible will have to have it shaved off.

but if you do not hold a spur and it is scar tissue you can treat it

I have suffered from plantar fascitis for years (recuring)
these are some of the things that have help me
I went to physio and this is what they told me to do.

you have tendons on the bottom of your feet it is attached to the bottom of your alleviate bone when it shortens it can start to rip off of your heal bone and this will cause calcium buildup what we phone call a bone spur.

there are some things that you can do to help.

1) get block high heal sandals and shoes you want to make sure that they support your foot. make sure that they are no higher than 2 inches.
if one inch makes your foot feel better ware them.

make sure that you ware them any time you are on your feet even within the house.

this will stop your from tearing that tendon any more.

2) take an anti inflammatory your choice

3) stretching exercises use warmth before hand to make sure that the tendons are soft. any use a heating pad or hot water bottle. use the warmness for 10 to 15 min's
the stretching you want to do are as follows
A) while sitting on a chair bring your foot back so it is under the stool keeping your toes flat on the ground lift up your heal like you are taking a step gross sure that you do not stretch too far (it should not hurt) hold for 15 sec's repeat 4 more times do this with both feet 3 times a day.

B) using a tennis globe or a soup can (on it's side)
put your foot on the can or ball in the arch of your foot again while sitting put some weight on it and roll it put money on and fourth. this will stretch out the tendon

use ice 15 min's after stretching it will help near the swelling

4) use ice the best way is to get some of those small broadsheet cups fill half full with dampen and freeze them. when you use them peel back the paper and rub on nouns make sure to keep it moving so you do not hurt the skin.

5) keep your foot up. and try to stay off them as much as possible.

6) go to the pharmacy and buy arch suports they will help also buy restore to health spur pads the ones that have a spot in the middle of the alleviate that you can take out this will help to releave pain.

7) if the above does not help you can go to your family doc and get hold of an injection of cortazone in your heal.

8) if all else fail and the doc's do beleive that you do have a spur you will have to have it file off.

9) to prevent this from happening in the adjectives you will need to get good walking shoes ones that hang on to your heal slightly higher than the ball of your foot and enjoy good arch suports.

Bone spurs are actually a deficiency of calcium which cause the body to leach calcium from the bone. As the calcium is being leached, it forms an eruption. This eruption is the bone spur.

I have plantars fasciitis and I understand how inadequately it sucks!

I would recommend taking advil because it really helps! I would also recommend getting some tennis balls or a rolling pin to roll your feet on within the morning when you wake up.

These are just home treatments and i'm sure your doctor can give you more.
There used to be a video out that be stretching exercises that help with heal spur misery. You may also try soaking your feet in epsom salt wet as hot as you can stand the water.

You might be able to find a accurate surgeon who could scrape off the excess bone, but who's to say it won't come backbone, especially if you don't change whatever habits brought it on contained by the first place.

Similarly, a cortisone shot may take down the inflammation temporarily, but you can solitary get so many cortisone shots before your connective tissue starts melt.

I would also highly recommend you start going to a foot reflexologist and an acupuncturist to help speed your healing. There are indubitable points on your body that will stimulate healing to your foot immediately. Here are the points to use. You apply pressure with your finger wipe strong enough that you can tolerate it without too much pain.

K 6 - Located within a slight hollow just below the inner anklebone. Very easy to find, you will probably feel a pulse here.

B 62 - Located contained by the hollow just below the outer anklebone. [Like K6, it seems to be between two small parallel tendons. Beneficial for: heel pain, ankle cramp, insomnia, and general foot pains.

GB 40 - Found in the large hollow freshly in front of the outer anklebone. [One of the easiest points to find. An excellent point to use for foot or ankle injuries in particular.

You can also rub those points next to the essential oil blend I recommended.

For pain relief instinctively, I'd recommend an herbal antiinflammatory as opposed to NSAIDs.
