What do i do almost heel spurs my foot hurt?

Answers:    I'm a podiatric medical assistant and this is a problem we treat 70% of the day. Heel spurs are caused by plantar fasciitis, which is an inflamation in the plantar fascia (the
ligament that runs from your heel bone into the globe of your foot)When the tendon is strained or pulled from either an injury or everyday activity it rips away from your heel bone cause it to bleed. The drop of blood calcifies causing a spur. What hurts is not the spur but the rather the tendon that is to say ripping from the heel bone and is inflammed. The spur is the body's attempt to reconnect the tendon. So there are several ways to stop the heel pain, streching, such as looping a towel around the globe of the foot and gently pulling toward you.Freeze a drinking water bottle and roll it through the arch of your foot. Wear good tennis shoes at adjectives times, such as new balance running shoes the higher the number the better the support. Going unclothed foot is your worse enemy. Also if your see a podiatrist he/she may give you an antiinflammatory injection (cortisone shot), prescribe an antiinflammatory by mouth, apply a supportive strapping to your foot, give you a splint to wear at dark to stretch your ligament to reduce the tightness,or cast you for custom foot orthotics. Orthotics are made from molds taken from your feet to abet support the ligament so that it doesn't pull away from the heel. Some insurance cover them others not, if not they run $375 self pay from our department, just to give you an idea of cost.
when my spurs acted up, i took motrin on a agenda for about 6 weeks.i also made sure i didnt walk barefoot on hard surfaces. afterwards i bought a pair of heel cushions and used them in all my shoes.it took awhile but eventually the twinge went away.(as the spur did not). its a matter of managing how one walks around.;)goodluck Bone spurs are indeed aching and the best thing that they usually do if it won't interfere with any other processes in your body is surgery to score the bone to remove the excess bone. Bone spurs are bone that erupt from years of trauma to any bone in your body. Sometimes these "spurs" are just the body's way to prevent more trauma from occuring. This happen mostly with dancers who repeatedly put stress on their feet for many years. The body notice a need for more protection, and these little bones arrive. But with bone spurs, in time they usually return and some general public opt for just riding out the pain until it gets so throbbing (perhaps pressing on a nerve) that they decide to get them removed. Anti-Inflammatories usually are prescribed to take assistance of the swelling that these bone spurs cause. Just go to a specialist that deals next to these daily. Maybe even a podiatrist. They can give you the best advice on how to meet head-on this problem.
I have had the same problem for 6 weeks in a minute. I am going to go to the dr on Monday b/c I cant stand it anymore! It helped me to get cushion insoles to wear, i also own an ankle wrap on so I can waer taht in my socks! Try a foot bath too, it feels better! i hope it go away for us both soon! : ) Make sure you're wearing really good shoes. Other than that the only thing I know do to is to transport an anti inflammatory medication.
Bone spurs are actually a deficiency of calcium which causes the body to leach calcium from the bone. As the calcium is anyone leached, it forms an eruption. This eruption is the bone spur.

The bone spurs can be disolved by using OsteoMatrix and Alfalfa Complex. This can take place within a few days. My hairdresser tried it and it worked great for her. The doctor gave her cortisone shots which help somewhat for a short time but then the pain returned. She's have no pain since using the OsteoMatrix and Alfalfa Complex.

Hope this is helpful and feel free to contact me next to questions.
