See if your Dr will prescribe "Pennsaid" it's an anti-inflammitory that gets applied directly to the problem area. It comes in drops. It's great for people with sensitive stomachs that can't take Nsaids by mouth.
eat a hand full of fresh cherrys daily it will take the pain away...
I take generic Voltaren for my arthritis problems and that helps some. You can also soak your hands in warm water to let the heat soak into the joints and using an exercise ball so the joints don't get stiffer can be beneficial, too.
Also, Shaklee has a Joint & Muscle Pain Cream that has helped me quite a bit, too. It's all natural and warms the hands and has worked well on my joint pain in my hands but not so much on my ankle where I had an ankle fusion. If you have gloves to slip on your hands after you apply it, that helps it to work even better.
