A decent foam bed should cushin you bones better and let them grow into alignment. With a coil bed your bones might not do as well as in a foam bed
I have a birth defect in my lower back(I have no discs in my lumbar region at all) The only bed that is totally comfortable for me is the temperpedic bed I now have. I do not know about your particular problem as far as which is better for alignment, but for very precise support of your body this bed is primo.
