Can turtles have osteoporosis?
I am doing research on turtles for a project and I want to link the information to something that actually matters to us. I am specifically interested in the skeletal system and the process of bone remodelling. So, Can a turtle have osteoporosis like humans?

No offense...but...as a biologist, I don't find the topic interesting...It would be very hard to get funding to study osteoporosis in turtles, is not even a model, since they are too far away from us. Osteoporosis is linked to hormonal changes in humans, a complex process. It would make more sense if you are studying monkeys, for example...
