Any women using Strontium for their osteoporosis?

My wife is taking 680 mg per day of strontium (strontium citrate from Drs. Best Bone Maker), and she would like to hear from women who are taking it also. She had horrible side effects from Fosamax, and is in a minute trying a safer method. Strontium is being used now in Europe surrounded by the from of strontium renelate and the results are quite remarkable, with few side effects. She would like to know if you are using it, have your DexaScan results improved, how much and what form strontium you use, and any side effects. Thanks.

Answers:    This doesn't necessarily answer your question, but I work at an MD's office who specializes surrounded by alternative and holistic medicine, and about six months ago she decided to try out strontium (in the form of Biostrong from Health Concerns) contained by the same amount. We've heard good things, but won't be getting any feedback via DexaScan for another six months.

I haven't hear any side-effects reported, just that it is hard to keep the doses away from calcium supplements.

Like I said, doesn't really answer your grill, but just wanted to let you know that we're adjectives eager to see the results!
