1. Hormones...i believe that estrogen leaves women at a disadvantage...perhaps this is the most controversal.

When this occur...the body needs large amounts of calcium...if it is not available..it will draw from the bones. Most of this calcium is going to the urin and out of the body. Milk ingestion is not the answer...as is fairly soaring in protein...and you need to consider that no other animal survives on the milk of another during their lifespan!
3.Soda.and carbonic acid is discouraging and so is vinegar...your body has to buffer these acids...and calcium is used...if not available it will draw from the bones...out it goes again!
4.Diet..if the body is not competent to draw calcium and general nutrition from the gut for any reason...it will leave you difficient surrounded by calcium for the bones. This could be caused by several things..lack of acids or chronic bowel disorders, autoimmune (celiac disease etc)..and in broad, age...as we age the body becomes less able to hang on to strong and functional to replenish the systems
