Osteoporosis and Disc Replacement Surgery?
My father has Osteoporosis which he has had for a few years immediately. He has lived and worked with it but a few months ago he was diagnosed near a crushed disc.
The doctor asked him if he wanted to sign of work but he obviously can't since he still has to payment the mortgage.
My question is even though he has Osteoporosis (which isn't severe) is he still eligible for disc replacement surgery?
Answers: Have you asked if they are going to "replace" his disk'
They may fuse it, take bone from his hip or use donor bone and put it within the disk area.
Only the doc would know by looking at his ct scan.
Fusing is not a big thing I had thee done, go in surgery at noon, woke up it was bleak, had to urinate, got back within bed woke up about seven, ate breakfast, went to the bathroom ( a requirement) and was home up to that time ten o'clock.
If you bring back osteoporosis, can you lose length within your arms or legs?
