Osteoporosis's i want to know more?
Answers: Osteoporosis causes bones to become weak and brittle — so brittle that even mild stresses like bending over, lifting a vacuum cleaner or coughing can incentive a fracture. In most cases, bones weaken when you have low levels of calcium, phosphorus and other minerals within your bones.A common result of osteoporosis is fractures — most of them in the spine, hip or wrist.
Symptons:
Back pain, which can be severe if you own a fractured or collapsed vertebra
Loss of height over time, with an accompanying stooped posture
Fracture of the vertebrae, wrists, hips or other bones
Causes:
Strength of your bones depends on their size and density; bone density depends in cut on the amount of calcium, phosphorus and other minerals bones contain. When your bones contain fewer minerals than normal, they're less strong and eventually lose their internal supporting structure.

Osteoporosis is a disease of bone loss usually occurring within the hips, spine, and wrist and is defined as a bone density that is 68% lower than a healthy standardized value. In elder individuals, the increased risk of falling is of particular concern in those with osteoporosis due to increased risk of fracture. There are medication that exist to treat osteoporosis, but one of the best treatments is weight bearing exercise. Bone, even old bone, is drastically responsive to load bearing which causes it to resorb calcium and lay unusual bone. Because of this, weight training is generally advised within this population, but should be done under supervision as load bearing also can increase risk of fracture. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osteoporosi...
They just now developed a cure for it. The one I saw was calcium injections.
