Looking for the name of a spinal condition...?
Spinorosetta ---- does that sound familiar to anyone? I know that it's not spelled correctly and may be missing some letters, but this is how my mother said it. I'm usually there when she speaks to her doc, but I wasn't yesterday. She had a minor car accident a few days ago (69 years old) and the doc told her that the xrays showed that her one hip is "bone on bone" (she's had bursitis in it for years) and that it looked like a bone in her back had slipped down and was next to another bone. Keep in mind that the doc usually tries to explain things to my mother in words that she will understand, so these may be very simplistic b/c she gets confused easily. The other thing that he told her was that her spine was covered with...she said it "spinorosetta." Later, she said it again and it was more like "sponorosetta" so I'm not really sure at all. I won't be able to talk to the doc until Monday, so I was wondering if someone could give me an idea of what it could be.

Try looking this up on spineuniverse.com. Is it possible she is speaking of Spondylosis (Spinal Osteoarthritis)? Sorry I couldn't be of more help, and good luck with your mom!
she is speaking of spinal degeneration and arthritis. Considering her age and the fact that the doctor mentioned bone on bone.
spinorosetta is not a word.
