I had an abscess which pressed against my spinal chord which caused me to be paralyzed will I ever walk again?
It is now 2 years and 3months since I had a laminectomy and I have sensation in my legs but I dont really feel them but it moves when it is hit or pinched so I need to know what can be done?

I can't tell you if you will ever walk again. That is something between you, your doctors, your therapists, and God. I'm not going to talk about miracles or things happening for a reason or about working hard to achieve your dreams. Sometimes crappy things happen to good people. One thing you can do is try to learn everything you can about living in a wheelchair. Walking is great, but it isn't a possbility for everyone. If you can learn to live life in a wheelchair, you will start to be happy again. Consult an occupational therapist for traingin and support. It is their job to help people learn to be independent again after facing an illness or injury as you described. Good luck on your journey.
PS...the reason your legs may twitch or move when they are hit or pinched is because your reflexes are still intact. It is one of nature's curel jokes that allows an injury to disrupt motor pathways but leaves reflexive (and sometimes even sensory) pathways intact.
This is a great question for you attending doctor. It is also depends on your mental attitude and strength of your inner being. Miracles happen after hard work and great struggles. So it maybe possible for you to walk again.
I have no idea what's possible in your situation, but if there is any chance at all of recovery, then you might start searching for rehabilitation programs, and make every effort to get in one. Do not take 'no' for an answer. If you find a program, you may need to negotiate with your insurance company - get a lawyer if you do.

Was it Pott's disease(Tb of the spine) that caused your abscess? I don't want to dampen your hopes but 2 years is really a long time for the paralysis to get better. Maybe a miracle will happen, who knows? Good luck!
