How do you cure a bulgindg disc (Spinal)?
I have a bulging disc which has been pressing on my sciatic nerve - making it difficult for me to walk.
I had a similar problem back when I was a construction worker. I healed it by hanging upside down with gravity boots and sleeping with a pillow under my knees. I've been pain free for years.
try Physical Therapy,Acupuncture,TENS, heat, ice, biofreeze, nerve blocks for 6 months
IF no relief? then consult a Neurosurgeon to determine if surgery is necessary
Your doc can give you pills for the pain, I have a bulging disc that accually has a tear in it and there is nothing that will help it, but if it is pressing on your sciatic nerve they should be able to give you something for it.
Occasionally I get that to if I twist the wrong way. One time I woke up and I couldn't even stand from the pain. I crawled to the tub and drew a hot bath. I bought a chair that vibrates and has a heating pad built in which seems to help when I'm at my worst. Lucky for me it goes away after a week of careful lifting and walking. I have been told only solution to it is to get Cortisone shots in the area or surgery. Both I'm trying to avoid.
Physical therapy. The therapist is trained to know which exercises will help and not further aggravate the problem area. Go for the exercise and avoid the shots and surgery. Time will heal it, it will dry up, but it could take months. Be patient and take it easy. An MRI may be suggested.
you dont..eventually it will crack (herniate) and lead to DDD degenterative Disc Diease.everyone over 30 yrs old has it.people have different drgrees .hopefully you wont require surgery like i did.anyways.here is a great book to help you out.http://www.amazon.com/treat-your-back-ro...
it took 10 years to go from bulging to herniated for me.
i went here fro my surgery and it went well.i highly reccommend Physical Therapy for as long as you can getsome benefit from it.then you got to figure out whcih option best suits you if you do end up doing surgery.
