Can doing sit ups cause disc in ur spinal column?

ive done some intense sit ups a month ago and my lower back is in pain ever since *everytime i use it* i have arranged a meeting w/ a doctor but i wonder if i have a disc? my whole back is out of alignment i think. it's really uncomfortable but it's nothing major. the pain isn't that bad either.

Not that i know of, but it all depends on the intense sit ups that you did, it is not impossible still; but i never heard of anyone having disc by doing sit ups, disc usually occurs in an accident. still go ahead with your DR. visit and see what's the real issue with your back. Good luck to you.


I'd suggest you see a chiropractor personally. A full sit up is not good for your back, you should do crunches instead.
