My little sister is having spinal surgery tomorrow and I'm worried ...?
do you think she'll be okay? It's a pretty serious operation to straighten her spine.
Answers:
My daughter had a twelve hour spinal operation . She had to have a plate bolted to her spine to straighten it .We were a nervous wreck waiting. She had to spend two weeks in ICU .My wife and I had turns taking care of her .My daughter was sixteen . She also had other problems besides her
spine.
When she came out of the operation with all the tubes hanging from her shocked me .The operation went well. After the operation she is able to do many new things .The after care is very important.Your mum and dad will need your support. After the operation it will be the family that become more important then the doctors and nurses to your sister.
A little prayer sure does help.
Give you sister a big hug from uncle T and tell her she is in my prayer and thoughts
I think she will be ok. Just pray for her alot. I will pray for her too.
Statistically speaking, her chances of being ok are better than yours if you get into a car and drive to the hospital tomorrow.
While some proceedures are pretty new, the surgeries they do these days are a well proven science. There is alot of redundancy figured into surgeries. I would wager that the surgeon, anesthesiologist and the med/surg techs are all very qualified and capable.
Don't worry. She'll be fine. She's also lucky to have a big brother that cares for her. Just don't forget to bring her a plant or some flowers to look at when she gets back in the room.
Good luck to you and your sister. God Bless.
She should be fine. The physicians who do this type of surgeries are specialists. They have gone to school for yrs to do this. They will take the utmost care of your sister. She will be given pain medication upon awakening to help her afterwords. Being there for her will make her feel better. She has quite a road ahead of her but it will be worth it in the end. She is in my prayers, as are you.
trust me they only let the BEST do this job
