Has anyone recently had a Lumbar Spinal Fusion Surgery? If so, how are you dealing with recovery?

I just had one on 7-16-07 and wonder if I will 'ever' be the same. Any feedback would be great. Thanks!

I had this surgery for scholiosis when I was 13 (now I'm almost 22). It took me about a month before I was doing well enough to go back to school. After about 6 months to a year I was feeling fine. And now I barely ever think about it! Honestly! Most of the time, I forget I ever had the surgery. The first 3 months are going to be the hardest though.

And you should use vitamin E capsules on the scar. You can get them at any drug store. You just bust open the capsules and rub them on the scar every night for at LEAST 3-5 months. I did this for about a year, and my scar is barely visible now!
