If you have had a spinal block for a c-section could you please tell me about your experience? Thanks!?
I had an epidural with my first daughter and it was horrible. I've been told that a spinal block isn't as bad...if you've had both which do you think was easier?

I had a spinal block during my sons birth and it went just fine I was even able to hold him after he was born. Getting ready for it took longer than the actual procedure it was a little unconfortable at first but only from having to lay on my side and try to pull my knee's to my chest (yeah and 9 months pregnant to boot).

i have had three c-sections and three epidurals. i have never had a spinal block though. why was your first experience horrible? what exactly is a spinal block? i think that any procedure involving the spine is going to be uncomfortable.
