If I think a doctor may have caused spinal cord injuries in me, where do I look, and who do I talk to?

You need to define and document the damage if it exists. Neurologists are the specialist who deal with this sort of problem. Discuss this with your primary care provider who can refer you to a different neurologist than who ever did the original work.
As others are quick to point out when anything goes wrong with a medical procedure.sue! In order to have a malpractice suit you have show negligence (that a normal standard of care was not provided to you), that there was damage from the negligence, and there was some sort of monetary compensation that could compensate that damage. So if it were surgery that had a bad outcome despite the doctor doing the right things, it is not malpractice.
One other note, it is silly to assume doctors know little about the spine. Certain doctors spend years and years focusing on nothing else except the spine.

Check another doctor. If what you think is true, approach a lawyer and sue the doctor who did damage to you.
