Cerebral Spinal Fluid. It carries all of the hormones and chemicals in the body to the brain as needed. It cannot cause you pain, it is fluid. The vertebrae are rubbing on or pushing on a disc and that is where your pain is. The nerves between the vertebrae are being squashed and that hurts!
