How are patients with spinal injury or recovering from spinal surgery turned in bed?

Answers:
Very carefully!

They will generally get a number of nurses to assist and do a "log roll" where the patient's spine and neck is all supported and kept in alignment as they are rolled.
They get their knees gently bent up towards their chest ,then they are slowly rolled onto their side .

If you know some one who has these injurys the doctor should really be telling you this.
All depends on the injury or surgery, but best advice would to ask a nurse and then they can show you which is always better then having it described on here. Good luck
It depends on the injury or surgery. My daughter was turned over very carefully by two nurses but she had to use her legs to help. She did only weigh about 5 stone at the time.
They either have special revolving beds or there are special turning techniques put in place for them.
