Nicky so sorry to hear that. Listen, I would like to cheer you up. Most probably is some "fat tissue" that will not affect your spinal cord. The doctors will find a cure to make you well. Focus all your energy into healing. Ask your friends to pray with you, and for you. Do not prolong your fear, because it will not help. Your mind is in control. You will tell that "mass" to go away, and it will be gone.
My mum had a tumour on her cerebellum over 17 years ago (how time flies!) she was in hospital on some really serious drugs for a month. She barely recognised us kids at times. She has the effects of a stroke victim, but she is still with us which is all that matters.
Ask as many questions as you can from your Doctor as every person is different.
Wait until you find out exactly what the mass is, it may be something innocent. thank god it has been found though and now they can treat you. All the very best..
I would advise you to remove your question and discuss things at length with your doctors-they are in the best position to tell you things you want to know. You will only get yourself all alarmed and scared with the answers you will get. You need professional help-not the kind you will get here.
