the infant was revived, but had to put on ventilator for 13 days without moving. after wake up she lost muscle tone, her left side of her body is weaker, asperates, had more lung infections due to the expanding from machine. would the doctor be at quirk for misdiagnoise, did not act as a reasonable doctor, who should already known. disappointment to give proper care to patient. please backing me on this.

2) You didn't give details of your baby's complaint before going to doctor. Was he febrile,for how long? Has he had any fits? Was he short of breath? Was he feeding in good health? or stopped feeding?
3) There is no way to diagnose meningitis or infection of brain in small babies close to yours other than to do lumber puncture to aspirate the water from baby's back and distribute to laboratory. If a doctor suspect meningitis in any young baby, he should progress for LP immediately unless there is some contraindication to that. The contraindications for LP being unstable condition of the toddler or infection at the site of LP.
4) May be your baby developed complication due his original condition?
5) You didn't mention about the result of fluid aspirated from his spinal column? Did it show meningitis?
6) Meningitis or infection of brain membranes is a very serious condition and not all patients recover fully. Many develop some sort of complications.
