The problem might be with your spine in general, not the tap itself. I had two spinal taps in a three week period. The doctors were trying to find out what caused the infection by my T-10 vertebre. I had a tumor removed from my C-4,5 in October, and I believe the infection came from the lumbar drain they installed after the surgery. Talk to your neurologist about this quickly, I am still having to learn how to walk again! Good Luck!
Yes, I had one for arthritis in the neck, it was suppoed to last 6 weeks. But in 48 hours it wore off.
