How long does it take to fully recover from bacterial spinal mennigitas?

Answers:
My step-daughter had it, and yeah, it took about three weeks or so to recover. She was feeling better a little over week though, after taking medicine.
My husband had this about a month and a half ago.

It took him a good 3 weeks to get over it.
Within 2 weeks, in most cases of viral meningitis.

Bacterial meningitis is very serious, requires hospitalization in most cases, and can take a month for recovery depending on the severity of the illness and the effectiveness of the treatment.
Some cases are quite severe, and can be life threatening (one kid I grew up with died at age 19 from this)
