Is any one using a Spinal Cord Stimulator for chronic pain. I needed for my ankle (r)?
I had an accident 3 1/2 years ago and broke my firht ankle. Ended up with nerve damage is call RSD. Used many medication suffered many side effects and now I am having a series of block injecctions but they don't seemd to help. Dr. is now recommending the Spincal Cord Stimulator. I s there any one out there that is using one or had an experience with this. What is your opinion about it. I really appreciated.

My mom is having one implanted in 3 weeks. She's used an external one for quite some time now. At first, she was a bit apprehensive of it, but now she can't live without it. She's got servere nerve damage.
My mom would tell you how thankful she is for this thing...and definately recommend it. The only thing that she hated about it was the apperance.
Good luck.
I too suffer from RSD and after many pills, which none helped me, I'm curious to see the answers to this question. I had a spinal block to which my pod thinks the doc didn't do correctly since I never felt any relief or the "warm" sensation that is suppose to happen with it. This is a tough condition and trying to find the correct meds is a touch and go thing. I have side effects with everything and nothing is helping. Mine is in my foot and calf and people don't understand what we live with. I'll be watching this question since I have an appointment with my doc this week and wondering what he will suggest next. I wish you the best, whatever you decide, and please know that there are more people out there than you realize that have this condition too. Your not alone. Good luck.
