I suffered a spinal cord injury a few years ago, will there ever be a cure, i am suicidal now?
Answers:
First of all...you're very smart to reach out for help. That's the hardest step...and the beginning of something great. I too have a spinal cord injury...two separate areas in fact.
Make a list of questions that you can ask your doctor. If you don't feel comfortable asking him/her, find a support group in your area.

Secondly, know that thinking suicidally is accepting defeat. Don't let your mobility define who you are. There are many contributions you can make for your life, to society, and in the future, that have NOTHING to do with your mobility.
Lastly, don't give up hope. Improvements to spinal cord injuries regarding healing and mobility are being discovered EVERY DAY. So do what you can today...because you never truly know what tomorrow holds.
I don't know how far away it is, but absolutely! One day we will be able to rebuild major portions of our nervous systems, including the spinal cord.
I am not sure about cures but you can start living your life right now and stop thinking suicidal thoughts. Enof of that!
You didn't say whether you can walk or not. If you can or can't you are still valueable! Be supportive of yourself and love yourself. I don't even know you and I can say I value you! you have feelings and are incredible enough to live life everyday. That is awesome! Be happy. I know how life can be. I live a horrible life every single day.believe it. I do not want an "out" though because it is not my time to leave this earth. I have purpose and SO DO YOU! So believe it okay?
please don't do that! my boyfriend did 4 years ago...i miss him sooo much. we have 3 kids and now they won't ever know him.
i know somebody who was paralysed after falling off a bike and he is now able to stand up and take his full weight, with intense physio, he is hoping to be able to walk unaided one day. I'm a care assistant, and i say, never give up hope honey cos medical science is always advancing, no one can understand completely but i do emphasise with you. is there a support group that you can go to or talk to over the phone? you need to talk to someone about how down you feel and I'm guessing how lonely. I'm sure you have a mountain of people who love you and want to help you overcome this. good luck sweetheart and keep believing in yourself cos your friends and family do. x
How bad of an injury? My mom broke her back and she had a low point but she got better. How old are you? Are you stuck in a chair? DON'T LISTEN TO THE FIRST GUY!
You have at least 5 strangers hoping that you don't kill your self.
Please, Please, Please Do Not kill yourself! Even if you're not religious you shouldn't commit suicide. God gave you a life you should live it. Even if you're not the luckiest person in the world God has a plan for you. I am sure you are loved by someone and would be missed a lot. A simple first step to make you feel better is read the Bible. You would be surprised at how much you are loved.
Please post your details or email me how and what you specifically feel I can treat you with Homeopathic Remedies which will make you feel well very quickly !
