Is a lumbar spinal block the only way to diagnose RSD? Mine was negative, but I still have all the symptoms?

Answers:
There are several tests that are now performed to detect RSD. One is a nerve conduction study. I had a several nerve blocks, but the diagnosis had been made several years prior by an orthopedic physician. There are not many sources for RSD and a lot of people have been misdiagnosed with other illnesses due to the lack of knowledge by physicians. There is an RSD Foundation in the Internet and several books have been written about RSD. Read everything you can about this and become knowledgeable about the symptoms, treatments, etc. It is very important that you be treated quickly or the pain can not be stopped. Early diagnosis is essential in finding a cure for this.
no that is not the only way to diagnose RSD. I have it and they did a couple of xray's and test to see if the nerve was damaged. It wasn't damaged or pinched which helped them to diagnose RSD. I have heard more recently that a skin test can be used. Good luck.
