Meningitis Vaccine and Spinal Tap?

I'm getting a meningitis shot tomorrow and I was wondering if it hurts at all, like bad, or if it's like a tetanus shot and makes it sore. Also, is there a burning sensation at all? And just out of curiosity, does anyone know how big the needle used to collect cerebrospinal fluid, or spinal fluid, in spinal taps is?

Answers:
Do not worry it is a relatively painless injection. Short needle administered subcutaneously. It will be over before you know it. There could be some tenderness or sore muscle for a short period.

Spinal tap needle is several inches long because it needs to penetrate deep into the spinal column to withdraw fluid.
