I have spinal headaches due to a spinal tap being done incorrectly. How or does anyone know how to cure this?
I have looked for cures on spinal headaches and can not find any answers. I have had the blood patch done and I still have the same problems as I did before the blood patch was done. This is how I have been for almost a month.

As if the spinal tap itself wasn't enough! Had one a few months ago.I don't think I'll ever do it again. For the headaches I don't want to go against any doc recommendations,so be careful,I am telling you what helped in my case.No Aspirin! Take ibuprofen or what I liked best was Alieve.Take it with caffeine like a coke.Lots of Gatorade is good and bananas(or potassium supplement).Try to stay cool(ha good luck on that.lol).And get plenty of rest.I'm so sorry!I hope you get better soon!♥
I had a spinal tap for the birth of my son who is now 13 years old. I STILL have backaches and headaches from this procedure. All my other children where natural; no problems. But that last one, was rough, so the Doctor recommended the tap, and he said I'll always have these backaches..it's right where the needle entered. The headaches feel just like the back. There is no cure, or my Doctor would have told me. That's what happens when man enters a place that he has no business being...Take Tylenol #3 good luck.
No I don't think that you can do anything for them. I had an epidural for all 4 of my kids births and for a few months after they were done, I had headaches. I have a friend who's husband is a anesthesiologist and he told me that there is a patch that can be put on the spot to get the medicine or spinal fluid out. I would call the doctors office and see if they can do that for relief.
Let me ask you this, if you took your car to the shop to have a dent removed, and let's say they removed the dent but painted the car the wrong color, you'd take the car back, right? My point is that you are the healthcare consumer and you need to followup with your doctor.
Go back to your doctor, tell him/her that you still aren't feeling well, and if they can't help, to please refer you to a doctor who can...
Good luck. It seems like it would be really fustrating.
