Has anyone had Spinal Fusion and if so with what results good or bad?
I may need spinal fusion surgery of L5 and S1...If anyone has had a spinal fusion i would like to know the outcome of it good and/or bad...also the location of where your spinal fusion took place, any information at all form someone who has had a spinal fusion would be greatly appreciated, Thanks...

My neck was broken in 3 places. The surgery was a success. C-7, T-1, T-2 were fused, much higher than your surgery. Be aware, when a spinal fusion is done, you lose a bit of height, because the pads between the fused vertebrae are gone. In my case, it was about 1/2 inch, but that is so much better than having been paralyzed, and I have not had pain since the 2 days immediately after the surgery.
