Can mastoiditis cause spinal menengitis?

a friend has spinal menengitis dr's also say she has mastoiditits ,

Answers:
Sure. If the infection crosses through the mastoid air cells into the meninges (the tissue layers that cover the brain and spine) - then the infection could technically spread to anywhere within the central nervous system (which includes the spine). She must be pretty sick. I hope your friend gets better!
