I had lumbar spinal stenosurgury 3 yrs ago.I am anxious to buy a rowing machine. Advisable or not? 75 yrs old?

Answers:
NO, not advisable!
do not do any exercise without talking to your doctor. Don't listen to peopleo on answers for something so serious. Consult your physician to develop a fitness regime that is safe for you.
You need a visit to the doctor to ask for this advice.

I can say right now that I would not advise it...but the person that performed the surgery or someone looking at your MRI films along with doing a physical should be the one to make that determination.

You are otherwise setting yourself up for more injury.
I am 50, and am convinced a rowing machine caused me a lot of damage!! I was recovering quite nicely from a knee injury (sustained when playing badminton to try and get fit!!). Going to the gym for the first time in my life was actually working well - until they put me on the rowing machine... Now I have hip problems!!
